New Community Arts Programming in October: SKETCH (Toronto)

What is SKETCH doing right now?

SKETCH has officially begun programming at our beautiful new Creative Enterprise Hub at Artscape Youngplace. Our studios continue to be in development, and in the meantime we are running programs such as:

  • Cabinet Academy woodworking
  • Womens’ Songwriting workshops
  • Enviro and culinary arts
  • Visual arts and sculpture
  • Sew Good textiles
  • Community Artist leadership training
  • Music recording and songwriting

Many of these are by registration, but we do have some that are accepting applications and registration now.

What can youth get involved in over the summer?

Acting OUT theatre and performance– hiring in July!
Community Artist leadership training – open trainings started in July!

  • Visual arts
  • Textiles
  • Music – recording, songwriting, promoting yourself as a musician
  • Industrial Arts – woodworking skill-building
  • Enviro and culinary arts
  • Community Artist leadership training
  • Ceramics
  • Movement Arts

Rose Gutierrez, SKETCH Program Director, will be leading tours for community partners in August and September.
