A mix of art, wine, and wall-to-wall mingling made the scene at the opening of ‘Dimensions’ at Arta Gallery in Toronto, a fundraiser for ArtBridges! On February 6, conversations about community-based arts were also part of the benefit where Toronto artists Chris Peters, Xander Dobrowolski, Susan Ward and Lori Molnar raised $400 in donations for ArtBridges/ToileDesArts, a project of Tides Canada Initiatives.
« I was gratified to find there were so many who were earnestly interested in knowing more about ArtBridges, » said Bridget Saulnier, ArtBridges Advisory Chair.
ArtBridges’ Project Director, Seanna Connell, spoke to many of the guests, and this added another wonderfully purposeful ‘dimension’ to the show, observed Bridget.

« There was a great turnout, the venue was gorgeous and the art beautiful, » said Seanna. « Myself and a few others from ArtBridges really enjoyed it. »
Our Outreach Coordinator and photographer Sonya Young was also on hand to take photos and mingle with the crowd.
If you missed the show, here is a synopsis by artist Susan Ward:
‘Dimensions’ represents the accumulated work of four different Toronto artists. Chris Peters, Xander Dobrowolski, Susan Ward and Lori Molnar collaborated to bring a winter show of new paintings fresh from their respective studios. A broad range of pieces exhibiting colourful painting styles and innovative techniques from artists who bring their unique views of the world to you and the Distillery District were on display, from February 6 to 9, at the Arta Gallery.
