BEST SUMMER JOB: Art Bikers!
« Now in it’s 9th year, the Art Bikers is a mobile community arts program offered through the 4Cs Foundation. Riding bicycles pulling trailers full of art making materials, the Art Bikers travel to communities throughout HRM engaging with people of all ages at a neighbourhood level and facilitating outdoors creative Community Art activities and short-term projects.
Art Bikers:
- are urban road (bicycle) warriors
- have strong visual arts or theatre and/or craft skills
- are highly creative/innovative thinkers and flexible
- excel at working as part of a team
- work irregular hours including weekends and early evenings
- have experience working with children
- work outdoors in all types of weather
Strong legs, an open personality, playful spirit, abundant energy and creative skills are essential. You have experience working with children or as a camp counsellor. You own an urban road bicycle (multiple gears) in good working condition and are prepared to ride & work outdoors in all types of weather.
We are looking to fill up to three positions, including a position for returning or graduating post-secondary student. You must be available to work flexible hours (including evenings & weekends) from mid-May to August 29, 2015.
