« An interactive workshop that covers the basics of successful grant writing. We’ll discuss the characteristics of a strong grant application, plus engage in some group work that will give participants a chance to apply what we discuss.

About the Facilitator:

Julia Chan is a freelance writer, reader, and editor. She has written many successful grant applications for organizations and foundations, with a particular focus on groups engaged in arts, social justice, and community work. She is the former Artistic Director of Diaspora Dialogues, an organization dedicated to promoting culturally diverse writers and artists. She copy edits regularly for Torontoist and is the current Communications Coordinator at Scarborough Arts.
